The process: (1) remove formstone, (2) remove paint with chemicals, (3) grind out old mortar joints, (4) repoint joints, (5) seal with silicone

each time the brick was washed the water was collected and pumped into big drums for disposal

nearly finished with the main repointing-- the remaining steps for this crew were (6) install brick sills and (7) repair & paint the cornice

the window crew came a few weeks later to replace the windows in the front. as you can see, the house was originally built with a big window on the first floor that was closed in at some point
